Our commitment

TradeLyser publishes trading education content — glossary definitions, learn guides, and methodology pages — with the goal of helping Indian retail traders understand markets, manage risk, and improve their journaling practice. Every page is written and reviewed to meet the following standards: accuracy, independence, clarity, and regular maintenance.

Who writes our content

Glossary terms and learn articles are authored by the TradeLyser content team in collaboration with practicing traders and analysts. Authors are active users of the Indian equity and derivatives markets (NSE/BSE). For high-risk categories such as Derivatives, Tax implications, and Regulatory topics, terms are reviewed by a SEBI-registered analyst or qualified chartered accountant before publication.

Review and update cycle

All Tier A (flagship) glossary terms are reviewed at least once every six months. Tier B–E terms are reviewed annually or whenever a regulation, exchange rule, or market-practice change is identified. Each term page displays its last-updated and last-reviewed date so readers can assess freshness at a glance.

Sources and citations

For definitions that reference regulatory frameworks, exchange circulars, or empirical market data, we cite primary sources directly on the term page. Our source model is minimal and transparent:

  • SEBI circulars and guidelines (sebi.gov.in)
  • NSE and BSE official documentation
  • RBI monetary policy documents
  • Peer-reviewed finance research where applicable

We do not cite affiliate-linked sources or third-party brokers for definitional content.

Independence and conflicts of interest

TradeLyser earns revenue through its SaaS trading journal product. Our education content is produced independently of revenue considerations. Definitions are not influenced by advertising, brokerage relationships, or product upsells. Where a TradeLyser feature is directly relevant to understanding a term, we link to it transparently and label it as a product link.

Corrections policy

If you identify a factual error, outdated regulation reference, or misleading interpretation in any glossary term, please contact us at support@tradelyser.com. We review correction requests within five business days and update the page with a note if the content changes materially.

Scope of content

Our glossary covers terms relevant to Indian retail traders — equities, derivatives (F&O), technical analysis, trading psychology, risk management, and journal-based analytics. We do not cover cryptocurrency, international markets, or highly speculative instruments in depth.
